03/31/2008 @ 02:36 PM: Today I completed a new custom guitar--only this time I did not build the guitar for myself. The AT Custom Cherryburst Ash Strat (for DT) was assembled for my brother. I agreed to make him a custom guitar to his liking to trade back for a Fender I sold him many years ago. For DT a guitar is simply a tool for writing and learning, so he needed something simple and functional. For this reason I approached the guitar in very basic fashion; I had DT choose the pickup configuration, fingerboard wood, pickguard, and hardware color, and from there I created an electric guitar that would be both versatile and reliable. Pictures of this guitar in progress, along with my other guitar projects, can be found in the photos section of my MySpace page: www.myspace.com/andrewthomassolomusic. DT's Strat will be delivered to him later this week, so here it is presented in description and photos before its departure.
